Barbara
Barbara is a Muscovy duck and the sister of Angelo and Renato. She was rescued together with her siblings from a situation of exploitation and now lives safely at our sanctuary.
Barbara is the calmest and slightly shy one of the three. She prefers to quietly observe what is happening around her and take her time before getting involved. She has a gentle and reserved personality and, once she feels comfortable, enjoys staying close to her brothers.
Today, Barbara can finally live peacefully, surrounded by her siblings and free to follow her own pace.

Angelo
Angelo is a Muscovy duck and the brother of Barbara and Renato. He was rescued together with his siblings from a situation of exploitation and now lives safely at our sanctuary.
Angelo seems to have a real passion for taking care of his appearance. He spends a great deal of time carefully cleaning and arranging his feathers, almost as if he always needs to look his best. It is easy to find him completely focused on his long beauty routine, giving his grooming his full attention.
After all, everyone has their priorities… and for Angelo, looking good seems to be one of them!

Renato
Renato is a Muscovy duck and the brother of Barbara and Angelo. Like his siblings, he was rescued from a situation of exploitation and now lives safely at our sanctuary.
Of the three, Renato is definitely the one with the biggest “little boss” energy. He is curious, confident, and often seems to be the one deciding where to go and what to explore. Barbara and Angelo tend to follow him, as if he were the little leader of the group.
Watching the three of them together is special: they each have their own personality, but Renato naturally seems to take on the role of guide. Today, he can finally live freely alongside his siblings, following his own pace and curiosity.
Adelina
Adelina is a Muscovy duck who appeared one day in a canal. No association was willing to take her in, so we were contacted instead. From that moment on, Adelina became part of our sanctuary family.
She has a condition known as angel wing and a malformed tail, likely as a result of inadequate nutrition while she was growing. We do not know where she came from: she may have been raised in a setting where she was given an excessively high-protein diet to encourage rapid growth, or she may simply have been neglected and not received the care and nutrition she needed.
Whatever her story may have been, Adelina no longer has to worry about her past. At the sanctuary, she has found a safe place where she can receive the care she needs and finally live her life in peace.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does it mean to sponsor a resident?
It is a monthly commitment to help cover the expenses of a specific resident, including their food, veterinary care and overall wellbeing.
What is my donation used for?
100% of your support goes directly towards the animal: their daily food, medical insurance, specialised treatments and the maintenance of their home.
Can I visit the animal I sponsor?
Yes! We love when sponsors get the chance to meet their friends. We just need to arrange the visit in advance so we can make sure the sanctuary’s routine is not disrupted.
How can I cancel my sponsor?
There is no minimum commitment. You can cancel or change your contribution at any time by contacting us by email or managing it directly through your bank account or PayPal.
Will I receive updates about my sponsored resident?
We have a private WhatsApp group where we share updates about all the sanctuary’s residents.
Unfortunately, the group is currently only available in Spanish and Italian, but we will also send updates by email. And, of course, you can always contact us if you have any questions or would like to know more about your sponsored resident!
